Meet our team:
Allison Lopez, M.Ed., BCBA
Director of Educational Services
Allison came to work in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by chance! After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Delaware in 2009, she moved to Colorado Springs, CO and came across a job advertisement for a tutoring position. While called a “tutor”, it was actually a Behavior Technician position. She recalls, “After seeing the progress of my first two learners, I quickly realized that I had found something I truly enjoyed doing every day.” Allison joined the JumpStart team in 2012 as a Behavior Technician while completing a Master of Education in Special Education: Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Arizona State University. Since then she has specialized within ABA in Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI), Verbal Behavior, Precision Teaching, and Instructional Design. In her spare time she enjoys nerding out on Precision Teaching and instructional design literature, cooking, running, watching documentaries and stand up comedy, traveling (especially to anywhere warm with a beach), and spending time with her strong-willed, energetic daughter who loves to dance, sing, and cartwheel all day long. Allison’s favorite quote is by Maya Angelou, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.”

Claire Dameron, B.A., RBT
Senior Instructional Specialist
Claire earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of New Mexico in 2016. “As someone with a family member affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder, I wanted to work with this population and had fallen in love with Applied Behavior Analysis and early intervention. I really wanted to work somewhere that was center-based since social deficits are such a big barrier to a lot of autistic kiddos. Then I found JumpStart and it was perfect”, she recalls. Claire joined the JumpStart team as a Behavior Technician in 2017. Since then, she has grown her talents as a Clinical Trainer, Clinical Support Technician, and now gets to experience a new avenue within educational services working with a wide variety of learners as a Senior Instructional Specialist. She notes, “I love that no wins are too small to celebrate. Growth and progress look different for every learner, but JAC recognizes that even small victories are meaningful to kiddos and their families. I’m excited to be a part of the Accelerated Learning Lab and to be working with kids who have alternative learning styles”. In the future, Claire wants to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and bring her newly acquired skills into the academic and clinical sides of JumpStart. Outside of work, Claire enjoys playing video games, baking, doing nail art, crocheting, gardening, hiking, and camping.

Hayley spent two years working with preschoolers in a special education environment at Shining Stars Preschool before joining the JumpStart team in 2023. She recalls, “I was interested in working with kids diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) because I have a niece and nephew diagnosed with ASD”. Hayley started out as a Behavior Technician in our Applied Behavior Analysis services before transitioning over to The Learning Lab in 2024. “My favorite part about working at JAC is seeing the progress the kids make, and I love being able to be my silly self around them” she notes. Outside of JumpStart, Hayley is currently working toward an associate’s degree in nutrition at Central New Mexico Community College and eventually hopes to become a registered dietitian working in either feeding interventions or simply as an RDN. Outside of work and school, Hayley loves to cook, bake, walk, and watch movies with her family. Her secret talents include drawing and painting.
